The CCND3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0746) is a valuable tool for research involving CCND3, a key regulator of cell cycle progression and proliferation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically targets CCND3 in human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the CCND3 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in cell biology and cancer research.CCND3, also known as cyclin D3, plays a crucial role in promoting cell cycle progression and regulating cell growth. Dysregulation of CCND3 has been implicated in tumorigenesis and cancer progression, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By investigating the function and expression of CCND3, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cell proliferation and potential therapeutic strategies for cancer treatment.Overall, the CCND3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0746) is a reliable tool for researchers seeking to explore the role of CCND3 in cell cycle regulation and cancer development. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it an essential resource for advancing our understanding of cell biology and disease pathology.
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cyclins function as regulators of CDK kinases. Different cyclins exhibit distinct expression and degradation patterns which contribute to the temporal coordination of each mitotic event. This cyclin forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK4 or CDK6, whose activtiy is required for cell cycle G1/S transition. This protein has been shown to interact with and be involved in the phosphorylation of tumor suppressor protein Rb. The CDK4 activity associated with this cyclin was reported to be necessary for cell cycle progression through G2 phase into mitosis after UV radiation. Several transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
