The CCL28 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2596) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CCL28, a chemokine protein involved in immune responses and inflammation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high reactivity with human samples and is suitable for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the CCL28 protein, this antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an excellent choice for studies in immunology and inflammatory diseases.CCL28, also known as mucosae-associated epithelial chemokine (MEC), plays a critical role in recruiting immune cells to mucosal tissues and regulating immune responses in these areas.
Its involvement in inflammation makes it a potential target for research in diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, and other mucosal inflammatory conditions. By understanding the function of CCL28, researchers can develop novel therapies to modulate immune responses and address inflammatory disorders effectively.

This antimicrobial gene belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for resting CD4 or CD8 T cells and eosinophils. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptors CCR3 and CCR10. This chemokine may play a role in the physiology of extracutaneous epithelial tissues, including diverse mucosal organs. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
