The CCL19 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16972) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the chemokine ligand CCL19, which plays a crucial role in immune cell recruitment and migration. This antibody, raised in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to CCL19, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of the chemokine in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in immunology and inflammation research.CCL19, also known as EBI1 ligand chemokine (ELC), is a key player in immune responses, guiding the movement of immune cells to sites of inflammation or infection.
Its importance in regulating immune cell trafficking makes it a promising target for research on diseases involving dysregulated immune responses, such as autoimmune disorders, inflammatory conditions, and cancer. Understanding the functions of CCL19 can provide insights into the development of therapeutic strategies that modulate immune cell behavior and ultimately improve treatment outcomes in these disease contexts.

This antimicrobial gene is one of several CC cytokine genes clustered on the p-arm of chromosome 9. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene may play a role in normal lymphocyte recirculation and homing. It also plays an important role in trafficking of T cells in thymus, and in T cell and B cell migration to secondary lymphoid organs. It specifically binds to chemokine receptor CCR7.
