The CCL17 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2854) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CCL17, a chemokine involved in immune cell migration and inflammatory responses. This antibody is raised in rabbits and shows high reactivity with human samples, making it suitable for various research applications, including Western blotting.CCL17, also known as thymus and activation-regulated chemokine (TARC), plays a crucial role in recruiting immune cells to sites of inflammation and regulating immune responses. It is implicated in various diseases, including asthma, atopic dermatitis, and other allergic conditions.
By targeting CCL17, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these diseases and explore potential therapeutic strategies. This polyclonal antibody specifically binds to CCL17, allowing for the detection and analysis of this chemokine in different cell types and tissues. Its versatility makes it an essential tool for studies in immunology, inflammation, and related fields. By using this antibody, researchers can further their understanding of CCL17's functions and its potential as a therapeutic target in various inflammatory disorders.

This antimicrobial gene is one of several Cys-Cys (CC) cytokine genes clustered on the q arm of chromosome 16. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity for T lymphocytes, but not monocytes or granulocytes. The product of this gene binds to chemokine receptors CCR4 and CCR8. This chemokine plays important roles in T cell development in thymus as well as in trafficking and activation of mature T cells.
