Description
CBR1 Monoclonal Antibody [4000000000000] (CPAB0442)
The CBR1 Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0442) is a valuable tool for researchers studying CBR1, a key enzyme involved in drug metabolism and detoxification processes in the body. The antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity for human samples and has been validated for use in Western blotting applications. By binding to the CBR1 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of CBR1 expression in a variety of cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in pharmacology and toxicology.CBR1, also known as carbonyl reductase 1, plays a crucial role in metabolizing various endogenous and exogenous compounds, including drugs, toxins, and reactive carbonyl compounds.
Its activity is important for maintaining cellular homeostasis and protecting cells from oxidative damage. Research on CBR1 is essential for understanding drug metabolism pathways, chemical detoxification mechanisms, and the development of new therapeutic strategies for drug-related toxicity.Overall, the CBR1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the role of CBR1 in drug metabolism, toxin elimination, and cellular protection. Its high specificity and sensitivity make it a reliable choice for accurate detection and analysis of CBR1 expression in experimental settings.

Background: | CBR1 is a NADPH-dependent, monomeric, and cytosolic enzyme which is related to a family of short-chain dehydrogenases/reductases. CBR1 protein (277 a.a.) is broadly spread in human tissues such as liver, epidermis, stomach, small intestine, kidney, neuronal cells, and smooth muscle fiber. CBR1 metabolizes numerous toxic environmental quinones and pharmacological relevant substrates such as the anticancer drug, doxorubicin. The best substrates of CBR1 are quinones, including ubiquinone-1 and tocophrolquinone (vitamin E). |
