The Cathepsin G Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5636) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Cathepsin G, a protease enzyme involved in immune responses and inflammation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to Cathepsin G protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component of immunology and cancer research studies.Cathepsin G is a serine protease that plays a crucial role in various physiological processes, including inflammation, tissue remodeling, and immune response modulation.
Its involvement in these pathways makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in conditions such as autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disorders, and cancer. Research exploring the mechanisms and functions of Cathepsin G is vital for developing novel treatments that modulate immune responses and combat disease progression.
Product Name:
CTSG Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

CAB5636
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 21-255 of human Cathepsin G (NP_001902.1).
The protein encoded by this gene, a member of the peptidase S1 protein family, is found in azurophil granules of neutrophilic polymorphonuclear leukocytes. The encoded protease has a specificity similar to that of chymotrypsin C, and may participate in the killing and digestion of engulfed pathogens, and in connective tissue remodeling at sites of inflammation. In addition, the encoded protein is antimicrobial, with bacteriocidal activity against S. aureus and N. gonorrhoeae. Transcript variants utilizing alternative polyadenylation signals exist for this gene.
