The Caspase-3 (p17) Polyclonal Antibody is a powerful tool for researchers studying apoptosis and cell death mechanisms. Caspase-3 is a key executioner caspase that plays a critical role in the initiation and execution of apoptosis. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to the p17 subunit of Caspase-3 and is validated for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. With its ability to specifically bind to the p17 subunit of Caspase-3, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis of Caspase-3 activation in various cell types and tissues. Its high reactivity with human samples makes it an ideal choice for studies in cancer research, neurodegenerative diseases, and other pathophysiological conditions involving dysregulated apoptosis.
Understanding the role of Caspase-3 in cell death pathways is crucial for developing targeted therapies for diseases characterized by aberrant apoptosis, making this antibody a valuable tool for researchers investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions. Choose the Caspase-3 (p17) Polyclonal Antibody for reliable and specific detection of Caspase-3 activation in your research studies.
Product Name:
Caspase-3 p17 Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB21677
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 29-175 of human Caspase-3 (NP_004337.2).
The protein encoded by this gene is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. The encoded protein cleaves and inactivates poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase while it cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins as well as caspases 6, 7, and 9. This protein itself is processed by caspases 8, 9, and 10. It is the predominant caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A precursor protein, which is associated with neuronal death in Alzheimer's disease.
