The Casp3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0214) is a valuable tool for research involving Caspase-3, a crucial player in apoptosis and cell death pathways. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the Caspase-3 protein, researchers can study and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in cell biology, oncology, and neurology.Caspase-3 is a key factor in apoptosis, the process of programmed cell death essential for maintaining tissue homeostasis and eliminating damaged or unwanted cells.
Dysregulation of apoptosis has been implicated in a variety of diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions. Investigating the role of Caspase-3 using this antibody can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying these pathologies and potential therapeutic targets for intervention.
Product Name:
Caspase-3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB0214
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 55-160 of human Caspase-3 (NP_004337.2).
The protein encoded by this gene is a cysteine-aspartic acid protease that plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. The encoded protein cleaves and inactivates poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase while it cleaves and activates sterol regulatory element binding proteins as well as caspases 6, 7, and 9. This protein itself is processed by caspases 8, 9, and 10. It is the predominant caspase involved in the cleavage of amyloid-beta 4A precursor protein, which is associated with neuronal death in Alzheimer's disease.
