The Caspase-10 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0216) is a valuable tool for researchers studying caspase-10, an important enzyme involved in programmed cell death (apoptosis). This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and reactivity with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the caspase-10 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, offering insights into apoptosis regulation and cell survival mechanisms.
Caspase-10 is a key player in the apoptotic signaling pathway, with implications in various biological processes such as development, immune response, and disease. Dysregulation of caspase-10 has been linked to pathological conditions like cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune diseases. By studying the function and expression of caspase-10 using this antibody, researchers can uncover new avenues for therapeutic interventions targeting apoptosis and cell death pathways.

This gene encodes a protein which is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme. This protein cleaves and activates caspases 3 and 7, and the protein itself is processed by caspase 8. Mutations in this gene are associated with type IIA autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome, non-Hodgkin lymphoma and gastric cancer. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
