The CACNB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7649) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the CACNB1 protein, which is essential for the functioning of voltage-gated calcium channels in cells. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the CACNB1 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it perfect for investigations in the fields of neuroscience and cardiovascular research.CACNB1, also known as calcium channel subunit beta-1, plays a crucial role in regulating calcium influx into cells, which is essential for processes such as muscle contraction and neurotransmitter release.
Dysregulation of CACNB1 has been linked to various neurological and cardiovascular disorders, highlighting its importance as a potential therapeutic target. By delving into the mechanisms underlying CACNB1 function, researchers can gain valuable insights that may lead to the development of novel treatments for conditions such as epilepsy, arrhythmias, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Product Name:
CACNB1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB7649
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 429-598 of human CACNB1 (NP_000714.3).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the calcium channel beta subunit family. It plays an important role in the calcium channel by modulating G protein inhibition, increasing peak calcium current, controlling the alpha-1 subunit membrane targeting and shifting the voltage dependence of activation and inactivation. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and three transcript variants encoding three distinct isoforms have been identified.
