The CACNA2D3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB10315) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CACNA2D3 protein, which is involved in calcium channel regulation and signaling in cells. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. It binds specifically to the CACNA2D3 protein, allowing for accurate detection and analysis in various cell types.CACNA2D3, also known as voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-3, plays a crucial role in controlling calcium influx into cells, which is essential for numerous cellular processes including neurotransmitter release, muscle contraction, and gene expression.
Dysregulation of CACNA2D3 has been implicated in various diseases such as neurological disorders, cardiac arrhythmias, and cancer.Understanding the function and regulation of CACNA2D3 is important for uncovering its role in disease pathogenesis and developing targeted therapies. The CACNA2D3 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for studying this protein and its potential implications in various research areas such as neuroscience, cardiology, and oncology.

This gene encodes a member of the alpha-2/delta subunit family, a protein in the voltage-dependent calcium channel complex. Calcium channels mediate the influx of calcium ions into the cell upon membrane polarization and consist of a complex of alpha-1, alpha-2/delta, beta, and gamma subunits in a 1:1:1:1 ratio. Various versions of each of these subunits exist, either expressed from similar genes or the result of alternative splicing. Research on a highly similar protein in rabbit suggests the protein described in this record is cleaved into alpha-2 and delta subunits. Alternate transcriptional splice variants of this gene have been observed but have not been thoroughly characterized.
