The CA3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB13473) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the CA3 protein, which is known for its role in various biological processes such as calcium signaling and neurotransmission. This antibody, generated in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications.CA3 is a key enzyme that plays a crucial role in the regulation of calcium levels in cells, making it essential for proper cell function. Dysregulation of CA3 has been implicated in various diseases such as Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy, highlighting the importance of studying this protein in the context of neurological disorders.
By using the CA3 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze the expression of the CA3 protein in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its function and potential implications in disease pathogenesis. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in neuroscience, pharmacology, and drug development aiming to target CA3 for therapeutic interventions.

Carbonic anhydrase III (CAIII) is a member of a multigene family (at least six separate genes are known) that encodes carbonic anhydrase isozymes. These carbonic anhydrases are a class of metalloenzymes that catalyze the reversible hydration of carbon dioxide and are differentially expressed in a number of cell types. The expression of the CA3 gene is strictly tissue specific and present at high levels in skeletal muscle and much lower levels in cardiac and smooth muscle. A proportion of carriers of Duchenne muscle dystrophy have a higher CA3 level than normal. The gene spans 10.3 kb and contains seven exons and six introns.
