The ABL Monoclonal Antibody (CAB22199) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the ABL protein, a key regulator of cell growth and division. This antibody, produced using advanced monoclonal technology, specifically targets the ABL protein and is highly reactive with human samples. It has been validated for use in Western blot applications, providing reliable and accurate results. The ABL protein, also known as Abelson tyrosine-protein kinase 1, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Dysregulation of ABL has been associated with several diseases, including leukemia and other cancers.
Therefore, understanding the function and regulation of ABL is essential for developing targeted therapies and interventions. The ABL Monoclonal Antibody (CAB22199) enables researchers to detect and analyze the ABL protein in different cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in oncology, cell biology, and drug development. By gaining insights into the role of ABL in disease processes, researchers can advance our understanding of cancer biology and discover new therapeutic strategies.

This gene is a protooncogene that encodes a protein tyrosine kinase involved in a variety of cellular processes, including cell division, adhesion, differentiation, and response to stress. The activity of the protein is negatively regulated by its SH3 domain, whereby deletion of the region encoding this domain results in an oncogene. The ubiquitously expressed protein has DNA-binding activity that is regulated by CDC2-mediated phosphorylation, suggesting a cell cycle function. This gene has been found fused to a variety of translocation partner genes in various leukemias, most notably the t(9;22) translocation that results in a fusion with the 5' end of the breakpoint cluster region gene (BCR; MIM:151410). Alternative splicing of this gene results in two transcript variants, which contain alternative first exons that are spliced to the remaining common exons.
