The BUB1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB1929) is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the BUB1 protein, a critical regulator of cell division and the cell cycle. This polyclonal antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the BUB1 protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in various cell types, making it ideal for studies in cancer biology and cell cycle regulation.
BUB1 is essential for maintaining genomic stability and ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. Dysregulation of BUB1 has been implicated in tumorigenesis and cancer progression, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention in cancer treatment. By elucidating the function and regulation of BUB1, researchers can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression, potentially leading to the development of novel targeted therapies.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-300 of human BUB1 (NP_004327.1).
This gene encodes a serine/threonine-protein kinase that play a central role in mitosis. The encoded protein functions in part by phosphorylating members of the mitotic checkpoint complex and activating the spindle checkpoint. This protein also plays a role in inhibiting the activation of the anaphase promoting complex/cyclosome. This protein may also function in the DNA damage response. Mutations in this gene have been associated with aneuploidy and several forms of cancer. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
