The BRD2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16241) is specifically designed for research involving BRD2, a key regulator of gene expression and chromatin remodeling. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly reactive with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By targeting the BRD2 protein, this antibody enables detection and analysis in various cell types, making it an ideal tool for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.BRD2, a member of the BET family of proteins, functions as an epigenetic reader that recognizes acetylated histones and plays a critical role in controlling gene transcription.
Dysregulation of BRD2 has been linked to various diseases, particularly cancer and inflammatory disorders. Understanding the mechanisms by which BRD2 influences gene expression is essential for developing targeted therapies that can modulate its activity and potentially treat these conditions.Overall, the BRD2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16241) is a valuable tool for researchers investigating the role of BRD2 in gene regulation and potential therapeutic interventions for diseases associated with its dysfunction.

This gene encodes a transcriptional regulator that belongs to the BET (bromodomains and extra terminal domain) family of proteins. This protein associates with transcription complexes and with acetylated chromatin during mitosis, and it selectively binds to the acetylated lysine-12 residue of histone H4 via its two bromodomains. The gene maps to the major histocompatability complex (MHC) class II region on chromosome 6p21.3, but sequence comparison suggests that the protein is not involved in the immune response. This gene has been implicated in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, a common form of epilepsy that becomes apparent in adolescence. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been described for this gene.
