Description
BRD2 Monoclonal Antibody (CAB23166)
The BRD2 Monoclonal Antibody is a crucial tool for researchers studying BRD2, a protein involved in epigenetic regulation and gene expression. This antibody is specifically designed for use in immunohistochemistry and Western blot applications, allowing for precise detection and analysis of BRD2 in various experimental settings.BRD2, a member of the bromodomain and extra-terminal (BET) protein family, plays a key role in chromatin remodeling and transcriptional activation. Its dysregulation has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and inflammatory disorders. By targeting BRD2 with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into its function and potential therapeutic applications.
This antibody offers high specificity and sensitivity, enabling reliable detection of BRD2 in both normal and diseased tissues. Its versatility makes it an invaluable tool for research into epigenetics, gene regulation, and the development of targeted therapies. With the BRD2 Monoclonal Antibody, researchers can delve deeper into the intricate mechanisms underlying disease pathology and explore new avenues for therapeutic intervention.

This gene encodes a transcriptional regulator that belongs to the BET (bromodomains and extra terminal domain) family of proteins. This protein associates with transcription complexes and with acetylated chromatin during mitosis, and it selectively binds to the acetylated lysine-12 residue of histone H4 via its two bromodomains. The gene maps to the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II region on chromosome 6p21.3, but sequence comparison suggests that the protein is not involved in the immune response. This gene has been implicated in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy, a common form of epilepsy that becomes apparent in adolescence. Multiple alternatively spliced variants have been described for this gene.
