The BRAT1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12801) is a valuable tool for researchers studying BRAT1, a protein involved in mRNA decay and responsible for maintaining genomic stability. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to BRAT1, the antibody allows for the detection and analysis of this protein in a variety of cell types, making it an excellent choice for studies in molecular biology and cancer research.BRAT1 is a key player in the regulation of RNA metabolism and DNA repair processes, making it a crucial target for investigations into diseases such as cancer and genetic disorders.
By understanding the function and regulation of BRAT1, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic strategies. The BRAT1 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the role of BRAT1 in cellular processes and disease pathology.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 652-821 of human BRAT1 (NP_689956.2).
The protein encoded by this ubiquitously expressed gene interacts with the tumor suppressing BRCA1 (breast cancer 1) protein and and the ATM (ataxia telangiectasia mutated) protein. ATM is thought to be a master controller of cell cycle checkpoint signalling pathways that are required for cellular responses to DNA damage such as double-strand breaks that are induced by ionizing radiation and complexes with BRCA1 in the multi-protein complex BASC (BRAC1-associated genome surveillance complex). The protein encoded by this gene is thought to play a role in the DNA damage pathway regulated by BRCA1 and ATM.
