The BOK Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16354) is a valuable tool for researchers studying BOK, a member of the BCL-2 protein family involved in apoptosis regulation. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity when used in Western blot applications with human samples. By binding to the BOK protein, this antibody allows for precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it well-suited for investigations in molecular biology and cancer research.
BOK, known for its pro-apoptotic function, plays a crucial role in controlling cell death processes and maintaining cellular homeostasis. Dysregulation of BOK has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, making it an attractive target for therapeutic interventions. By exploring the mechanisms underlying BOK activity, researchers can gain insights into potential treatment strategies for cancer and other disorders characterized by abnormal cell survival pathways.
Product Name:
BOK Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB16354
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 1-100 of human BOK (NP_115904.1).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the BCL2 family, members of which form homo- or heterodimers, and act as anti- or proapoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular processes. Studies in rat show that this protein has restricted expression in reproductive tissues, interacts strongly with some antiapoptotic BCL2 proteins, not at all with proapoptotic BCL2 proteins, and induces apoptosis in transfected cells. Thus, this protein represents a proapoptotic member of the BCL2 family.
