The BMP3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB6877) is a valuable tool for researchers studying Bone Morphogenetic Protein 3 (BMP3), a member of the TGF-beta superfamily that plays a crucial role in bone development and regeneration. This antibody, generated in rabbits, specifically recognizes BMP3 in human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications.BMP3 is known for its anti-osteogenic properties, inhibiting bone formation by antagonizing the activity of other BMPs. Research on BMP3 is important for understanding its role in skeletal development, bone remodeling, and diseases such as osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.
The BMP3 Polyclonal Antibody allows for the detection and analysis of BMP3 in various cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in bone biology and regenerative medicine.By targeting BMP3, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying bone homeostasis and pathology, potentially leading to the development of novel therapeutic strategies for bone disorders. The BMP3 Polyclonal Antibody enables precise and reliable detection of BMP3, facilitating in-depth investigations into its functions and interactions in bone biology research.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 243-472 of human BMP3 (NP_001192.2).
This gene encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate each subunit of the disulfide-linked homodimer. This protein suppresses osteoblast differentiation, and negatively regulates bone density, by modulating TGF-beta receptor availability to other ligands.
