The Bim Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19702) is a vital tool for research involving Bim, a pro-apoptotic protein that plays a key role in regulating programmed cell death. This antibody, developed using rabbit monoclonal technology, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting Bim in various experimental setups.Recognized for its ability to bind specifically to Bim, the antibody is optimized for use in Western blot applications, enabling accurate analysis of Bim expression levels in different cell types and tissues. Its reliability and consistency make it an essential component for studies focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying cell death and survival pathways.Bim, a member of the Bcl-2 protein family, is involved in controlling cell death by promoting apoptosis in response to various cellular signals.
Dysregulation of Bim expression has been linked to numerous diseases, including cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune conditions. Investigating the function and regulation of Bim is crucial for developing therapeutic strategies aimed at targeting apoptosis for disease treatment.Overall, the Bim Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (CAB19702) provides researchers with a powerful tool for exploring the role of Bim in cellular processes and disease development, offering valuable insights into potential therapeutic interventions targeting apoptosis pathways.

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the BCL-2 protein family. BCL-2 family members form hetero- or homodimers and act as anti- or pro-apoptotic regulators that are involved in a wide variety of cellular activities. The protein encoded by this gene contains a Bcl-2 homology domain 3 (BH3). It has been shown to interact with other members of the BCL-2 protein family and to act as an apoptotic activator. The expression of this gene can be induced by nerve growth factor (NGF), as well as by the forkhead transcription factor FKHR-L1, which suggests a role of this gene in neuronal and lymphocyte apoptosis. Transgenic studies of the mouse counterpart suggested that this gene functions as an essential initiator of apoptosis in thymocyte-negative selection. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been identified.
