The Beta-Arrestin-1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0998) is a vital tool for researchers studying Beta-Arrestin-1, a key protein involved in G protein-coupled receptor signaling and regulation. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples and has been rigorously validated for Western blot applications.Beta-Arrestin-1 is a crucial mediator of GPCR desensitization and internalization, making it a significant player in various physiological processes such as cell signaling, neurotransmission, and sensory perception.
Dysregulation of Beta-Arrestin-1 has been linked to numerous diseases including cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target.By enabling the detection and quantification of Beta-Arrestin-1 in different cell types and tissues, this antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers exploring the role of Beta-Arrestin-1 in health and disease. Its versatility and reliability make it an indispensable asset for studies in pharmacology, molecular biology, and drug development.

Members of arrestin/beta-arrestin protein family are thought to participate in agonist-mediated desensitization of G-protein-coupled receptors and cause specific dampening of cellular responses to stimuli such as hormones, neurotransmitters, or sensory signals. Arrestin beta 1 is a cytosolic protein and acts as a cofactor in the beta-adrenergic receptor kinase (BARK) mediated desensitization of beta-adrenergic receptors. Besides the central nervous system, it is expressed at high levels in peripheral blood leukocytes, and thus the BARK/beta-arrestin system is believed to play a major role in regulating receptor-mediated immune functions. Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms of arrestin beta 1 have been described.
