The BCS1L Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7647) is a valuable tool for researchers studying BCS1L, a protein involved in mitochondrial respiratory chain complex III assembly. This antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By specifically binding to the BCS1L protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of BCS1L in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in mitochondrial biology and related fields.
BCS1L is a key player in maintaining mitochondrial function and energy production, making it essential for cell viability. Dysregulation of BCS1L has been implicated in a variety of mitochondrial disorders and metabolic diseases. By studying BCS1L using this antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for mitochondrial dysfunction-related diseases.

CAB7647
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit

Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 33-240 of human BCS1L (NP_004319.1).
This gene encodes a homolog of the S. cerevisiae bcs1 protein which is involved in the assembly of complex III of the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The encoded protein does not contain a mitochondrial targeting sequence but experimental studies confirm that it is imported into mitochondria. Mutations in this gene are associated with mitochondrial complex III deficiency and the GRACILE syndrome. Several alternatively spliced transcripts encoding two different isoforms have been described.
