Description
BCL7B Antibody (PACO07997)
The BCL7B Polyclonal Antibody (PACO07997) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the BCL7B protein, a key player in cell growth and differentiation processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, shows high specificity for human samples and is validated for use in Western blotting applications.BCL7B, also known as B-cell lymphoma/leukemia 7 protein, is involved in various cellular functions, including cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and chromatin remodeling. Dysregulation of BCL7B has been linked to cancer development and progression, making it a promising target for cancer research.
By specifically binding to the BCL7B protein, this antibody enables the accurate detection and analysis of BCL7B expression in a variety of cell types. Its reliability and sensitivity make it an ideal tool for immunology and oncology studies aimed at understanding the role of BCL7B in disease pathogenesis and identifying potential therapeutic targets.

UniProt Protein Function: | BCL7B: May play a role in lung tumor development or progression. BCL7B is located in the Williams-Beuren syndrome (WBS) critical region. WBS results from a hemizygous deletion of several genes on chromosome 7q11.23, thought to arise as a consequence of unequal crossing over between highly homologous low-copy repeat sequences flanking the deleted region. Haploinsufficiency of BCL7B may be the cause of certain cardiovascular and musculo-skeletal abnormalities observed in the disease. Belongs to the BCL7 family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing. |

NCBI Summary: | This gene encodes a member of the BCL7 family including BCL7A, BCL7B and BCL7C proteins. This member is BCL7B, which contains a region that is highly similar to the N-terminal segment of BCL7A or BCL7C proteins. The BCL7A protein is encoded by the gene known to be directly involved in a three-way gene translocation in a Burkitt lymphoma cell line. This gene is located at a chromosomal region commonly deleted in Williams syndrome. This gene is highly conserved from C. elegans to human. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2010] |
