The Anti-BAP31 Antibody (CAB2259) is a powerful tool for research into BAP31, a protein involved in various cellular processes such as protein transport and apoptosis. This polyclonal antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity for detecting BAP31 in human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications.BAP31, a key player in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) quality control system, is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and proper protein folding. Dysregulation of BAP31 has been linked to diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and viral infections, highlighting its importance as a potential therapeutic target.
By utilizing the Anti-BAP31 Antibody (CAB2259), researchers can further elucidate the function of BAP31 in cellular physiology and pathology. This antibody enables precise detection and analysis of BAP31 levels in various cell types, facilitating studies in areas such as cell biology, oncology, and virology. Understanding the role of BAP31 is essential for developing targeted interventions and treatments for a range of diseases associated with ER stress and protein misfolding.

Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 101-200 of human BAP31 (P51572).
This gene encodes a member of the B-cell receptor associated protein 31 superfamily. The encoded protein is a multi-pass transmembrane protein of the endoplasmic reticulum that is involved in the anterograde transport of membrane proteins from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi and in caspase 8-mediated apoptosis. Microdeletions in this gene are associated with contiguous ABCD1/DXS1375E deletion syndrome (CADDS), a neonatal disorder. Alternative splicing of this gene results in multiple transcript variants. Two related pseudogenes have been identified on chromosome 16.
