The BAG6 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2010) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the BAG6 protein, which is involved in protein quality control and cell survival processes. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot experiments. By specifically binding to the BAG6 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in molecular biology and cell biology.
The BAG6 protein, also known as Bat3, is a key player in the cellular machinery responsible for maintaining protein integrity and regulating cell death pathways. Dysregulation of BAG6 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a promising target for therapeutic intervention. Research on BAG6 is essential for uncovering its precise functions and developing strategies to modulate its activity for therapeutic purposes.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-200 of human BAT3/BAT3/BAG6 (NP_001092004.1).
This gene was first characterized as part of a cluster of genes located within the human major histocompatibility complex class III region. This gene encodes a nuclear protein that is cleaved by caspase 3 and is implicated in the control of apoptosis. In addition, the protein forms a complex with E1A binding protein p300 and is required for the acetylation of p53 in response to DNA damage. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
