The BAG5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5794) is a valuable tool for researchers studying BAG5, a protein involved in regulating cell survival and apoptosis. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity when used in Western blotting applications with human samples. By binding to the BAG5 protein, researchers can accurately detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for investigations in cell biology and cancer research.BAG5, also known as Bcl-2-associated athanogene 5, plays a crucial role in controlling cellular stress responses and promoting cell survival.
Dysregulation of BAG5 has been linked to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, emphasizing the importance of studying its function. By understanding the mechanisms by which BAG5 influences cell fate, researchers can potentially develop targeted therapies for these conditions. In conclusion, the BAG5 Polyclonal Antibody offers researchers a reliable tool for studying the role of BAG5 in health and disease. With its high reactivity and specificity, this antibody is a valuable asset for advancing scientific knowledge in the fields of cell biology and cancer research.

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the BAG1-related protein family. BAG1 is an anti-apoptotic protein that functions through interactions with a variety of cell apoptosis and growth related proteins including BCL-2, Raf-protein kinase, steroid hormone receptors, growth factor receptors and members of the heat shock protein 70 kDa family. This protein contains a BAG domain near the C-terminus, which could bind and inhibit the chaperone activity of Hsc70/Hsp70. Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
