The BAG2 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7763) is a high-quality antibody designed for research involving BAG2, a protein known for its role in regulating protein degradation and cell survival. This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it an ideal tool for studying the function of BAG2 in various cellular processes.BAG2 is a member of the BAG family of proteins, which are involved in modulating the activity of chaperone proteins like HSP70. BAG2 has been implicated in processes such as proteasomal degradation, apoptosis, and cell proliferation, making it a key player in cellular homeostasis. The BAG2 Polyclonal Antibody binds specifically to BAG2 protein, allowing for its detection and analysis in cell lysates and tissue samples.
Researchers in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, and cancer research can benefit from using the BAG2 Polyclonal Antibody in experiments such as Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. By understanding the role of BAG2 in cellular pathways and disease progression, scientists can explore potential therapeutic targets for conditions like cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Unlock the potential of BAG2 research with this high-quality antibody from AssayGenie.
Product Name:
BAG2 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB7763
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-211 of human BAG2 (NP_004273.1).
BAG proteins compete with Hip for binding to the Hsc70/Hsp70 ATPase domain and promote substrate release. All the BAG proteins have an approximately 45-amino acid BAG domain near the C terminus but differ markedly in their N-terminal regions. The predicted BAG2 protein contains 211 amino acids. The BAG domains of BAG1, BAG2, and BAG3 interact specifically with the Hsc70 ATPase domain in vitro and in mammalian cells. All 3 proteins bind with high affinity to the ATPase domain of Hsc70 and inhibit its chaperone activity in a Hip-repressible manner.
