Description
AVPR1B Antibody (PACO00448)
The AVPR1B Polyclonal Antibody (PACO00448) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the AVPR1B receptor, a key player in the regulation of stress response and social behavior. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it an essential reagent for various research applications, including Western blotting. The AVPR1B receptor, also known as the arginine vasopressin receptor 1B, is involved in modulating the body's response to stress and influencing social behavior. Dysregulation of this receptor has been linked to various psychiatric disorders, such as anxiety and depression, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions.
By utilizing the AVPR1B Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can effectively detect and analyze the expression of the AVPR1B receptor in different cell types, providing valuable insights into its functional role in stress response and social behavior. This antibody is a valuable tool for advancing our understanding of the complex mechanisms underlying these processes and holds great potential for the development of novel treatments for stress-related disorders.

NCBI Summary: | The protein encoded by this gene acts as receptor for arginine vasopressin. This receptor belongs to the subfamily of G-protein coupled receptors which includes AVPR1A, V2R and OXT receptors. Its activity is mediated by G proteins which stimulate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The receptor is primarily located in the anterior pituitary, where it stimulates ACTH release. It is expressed at high levels in ACTH-secreting pituitary adenomas as well as in bronchial carcinoids responsible for the ectopic ACTH syndrome. A spliced antisense transcript of this gene has been reported but its function is not known. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
