The ATXN3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12992) is a crucial tool for researchers studying ATXN3, a protein involved in the progression of neurodegenerative diseases such as Spinocerebellar Ataxia Type 3 (SCA3). This antibody, produced in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ATXN3 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential component for studies in neuroscience and genetic disorders.ATXN3 is a key player in the pathogenesis of SCA3, a progressive neurological disorder characterized by movement impairments and loss of coordination.
Research into the function and regulation of ATXN3 is vital for understanding the mechanisms underlying SCA3 and other related diseases. By studying ATXN3, researchers hope to uncover new therapeutic targets and treatment strategies for these debilitating conditions. With its high specificity and reliability, the ATXN3 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12992) is a valuable tool for scientists investigating the role of ATXN3 in neurodegenerative diseases. By facilitating the detection and analysis of ATXN3 protein expression, this antibody paves the way for advancements in our understanding of SCA3 and the development of targeted therapies for affected individuals.

Machado-Joseph disease, also known as spinocerebellar ataxia-3, is an autosomal dominant neurologic disorder. The protein encoded by this gene contains (CAG)n repeats in the coding region, and the expansion of these repeats from the normal 12-44 to 52-86 is one cause of Machado-Joseph disease. There is a negative correlation between the age of onset and CAG repeat numbers. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
