The ATPAF1 Antibody (PACO57668) is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving ATPAF1, a protein involved in the assembly of ATP synthase in mitochondria. The antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in various applications, including Western blot and immunohistochemistry.ATPAF1 is a key player in the process of ATP synthesis, making it a critical component of cellular energy production. Dysregulation of ATPAF1 has been associated with various diseases, including metabolic disorders and neurodegenerative diseases.
By targeting ATPAF1, researchers can better understand the mechanisms underlying these conditions and potentially develop new therapeutic strategies. With its high specificity and reliability in detecting ATPAF1, this antibody is an essential tool for studies in molecular biology, biochemistry, and mitochondria research. Its ability to accurately detect ATPAF1 protein levels in various cell types makes it an invaluable asset for researchers investigating mitochondrial function and energy metabolism.

IHC image of PACO57668 diluted at 1:400 and staining in paraffin-embedded human lung cancer performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

NCBI Summary:
This gene encodes an assembly factor for the F(1) component of the mitochondrial ATP synthase. This protein binds specifically to the F1 beta subunit and is thought to prevent this subunit from forming nonproductive homooligomers during enzyme assembly. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2011]
