The ATP1A4 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB15256) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ATP1A4, a crucial enzyme involved in cellular processes such as ion transport and signal transduction. The antibody, generated in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and reactivity towards human samples, making it an ideal choice for Western blot applications.ATP1A4, a member of the ATPase family, is responsible for maintaining the electrochemical gradient across cell membranes by pumping sodium and potassium ions in and out of cells. Dysregulation of ATP1A4 activity has been linked to various diseases, including neurological disorders and cardiovascular conditions.
By targeting ATP1A4 with this antibody, researchers can analyze its expression levels and localization in different cell types, shedding light on its role in health and disease. The ATP1A4 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for investigations in molecular biology, physiology, and pharmacology, offering insights into the complex mechanisms of ion transport and cellular signaling. Understanding the functions of ATP1A4 is essential for developing targeted therapies and interventions that could benefit patients with conditions related to ion imbalance and cellular dysfunction.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-90 of human ATP1A4 (NP_653300.2).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ -ATPases. Na+/K+ -ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane. These gradients are essential for osmoregulation, for sodium-coupled transport of a variety of organic and inorganic molecules, and for electrical excitability of nerve and muscle. This enzyme is composed of two subunits, a large catalytic subunit (alpha) and a smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta). The catalytic subunit of Na+/K+ -ATPase is encoded by multiple genes. This gene encodes an alpha 4 subunit. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
