The ATP1A1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7878) is specifically designed for research involving ATP1A1, a key protein responsible for maintaining the electrochemical gradient across cell membranes. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ATP1A1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential tool for studies in molecular biology and cell physiology.ATP1A1, also known as sodium-potassium ATPase alpha subunit, plays a vital role in the active transport of ions across cell membranes, which is crucial for cellular functions such as maintaining membrane potential and regulating cell volume.
Dysregulation of ATP1A1 has been implicated in various diseases, including hypertension, heart failure, and neurological disorders. Therefore, investigating the expression and activity of ATP1A1 is essential for gaining insights into these pathological conditions and developing potential therapeutic interventions targeting ion transport mechanisms.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-100 of human Na+/K+-ATPase (NP_000692.2).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ -ATPases. Na+/K+ -ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane. These gradients are essential for osmoregulation, for sodium-coupled transport of a variety of organic and inorganic molecules, and for electrical excitability of nerve and muscle. This enzyme is composed of two subunits, a large catalytic subunit (alpha) and a smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta). The catalytic subunit of Na+/K+ -ATPase is encoded by multiple genes. This gene encodes an alpha 1 subunit. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
