The ATP1A1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB12405) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ATP1A1, a key component of the Na+/K+ ATPase enzyme involved in ion transport and cell signaling. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high reactivity with human samples and is validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding specifically to the ATP1A1 protein, researchers can easily detect and analyze its expression in various cell types, making it ideal for investigations in physiology, pharmacology, and neuroscience.
ATP1A1 is essential for maintaining cellular functions by regulating ion gradients across cell membranes, impacting processes like nerve signaling and muscle contraction. Dysregulation of ATP1A1 has been linked to various diseases, including hypertension, heart disease, and neurological disorders. Studying the function and expression of ATP1A1 is crucial for uncovering new insights into these conditions and developing targeted therapeutics to address them.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 551-850 of human Na+/K+-ATPase (NP_000692.2).
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the family of P-type cation transport ATPases, and to the subfamily of Na+/K+ -ATPases. Na+/K+ -ATPase is an integral membrane protein responsible for establishing and maintaining the electrochemical gradients of Na and K ions across the plasma membrane. These gradients are essential for osmoregulation, for sodium-coupled transport of a variety of organic and inorganic molecules, and for electrical excitability of nerve and muscle. This enzyme is composed of two subunits, a large catalytic subunit (alpha) and a smaller glycoprotein subunit (beta). The catalytic subunit of Na+/K+ -ATPase is encoded by multiple genes. This gene encodes an alpha 1 subunit. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
