The ASS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2012) is a powerful tool for researchers studying ASS1, a crucial enzyme involved in the urea cycle and arginine metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards ASS1 in human samples, making it an ideal choice for Western blot applications. By targeting the ASS1 protein, this antibody enables accurate detection and analysis in various cell types, facilitating research in fields such as metabolism, cancer biology, and personalized medicine.ASS1, also known as argininosuccinate synthase 1, plays a key role in the urea cycle by catalyzing the formation of argininosuccinate from citrulline and aspartate.
Dysregulation of ASS1 expression has been linked to various diseases, including cancer, metabolic disorders, and cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, studying the function and regulation of ASS1 is essential for understanding disease mechanisms and exploring potential therapeutic targets. With its superior performance and reliability, the ASS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB2012) is a valuable tool for researchers seeking to unravel the complex roles of ASS1 in health and disease. Its versatility and accuracy make it an indispensable asset for laboratories conducting cutting-edge research in biochemistry, molecular biology, and medical science.
Product Name:
ASS1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB2012
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-412 of human ASS1 (NP_446464.1).
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the penultimate step of the arginine biosynthetic pathway. There are approximately 10 to 14 copies of this gene including the pseudogenes scattered across the human genome, among which the one located on chromosome 9 appears to be the only functional gene for argininosuccinate synthetase. Mutations in the chromosome 9 copy of this gene cause citrullinemia. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
445
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.01% thimerosal,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
