The KO Validated ASS1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB16767) is a crucial tool for research involving ASS1, a key enzyme involved in arginine biosynthesis and metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, demonstrates high specificity and reactivity with human samples, making it a reliable choice for Western blot applications. By binding to the ASS1 protein, the antibody allows for accurate detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it an essential resource for studies in biochemistry and cancer research.ASS1 plays a critical role in arginine metabolism, which is essential for various physiological processes including cell growth, immune function, and nitric oxide production.
Dysregulation of ASS1 has been linked to cancer development and progression, making it a promising target for therapeutic interventions. The KO Validated ASS1 Polyclonal Antibody provides researchers with a valuable tool to further investigate the role of ASS1 in health and disease, ultimately contributing to the development of novel treatment strategies.
Product Name:
[KO Validated] ASS1 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
SKU:
CAB16767
Size:
20uL, 100uL
Isotype:
IgG
Host Species:
Rabbit
Reactivity:
Human,Mouse,Rat
Immunogen:
Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-412 of human ASS1 (NP_446464.1).
The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the penultimate step of the arginine biosynthetic pathway. There are approximately 10 to 14 copies of this gene including the pseudogenes scattered across the human genome, among which the one located on chromosome 9 appears to be the only functional gene for argininosuccinate synthetase. Mutations in the chromosome 9 copy of this gene cause citrullinemia. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
Purification Method:
Affinity purification
Gene ID:
445
Storage Buffer:
Store at -20℃. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.Buffer: PBS with 0.01% thimerosal,50% glycerol,pH7.3.
