The MAP3K5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB0283) is a vital tool for researchers studying the MAP3K5 protein, a key player in intracellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival. This antibody, produced in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for human samples and has been rigorously validated for Western blot applications.MAP3K5, also known as apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1), is involved in various cellular processes, including cell stress responses and programmed cell death. Dysregulation of MAP3K5 activity has been implicated in diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and cardiovascular diseases.
Understanding the role of MAP3K5 in these pathologies is essential for developing targeted therapies and diagnostic tools. With its ability to specifically detect and quantify MAP3K5 in different cell types, the CAB0283 antibody is an invaluable asset for researchers in the fields of molecular biology, cancer research, and drug development. By enabling precise analysis of MAP3K5 expression and function, this antibody facilitates deep insights into the intricate mechanisms underlying cellular signaling pathways and disease pathogenesis.

Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling cascades include MAPK or extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK), MAPK kinase (MKK or MEK), and MAPK kinase kinase (MAPKKK or MEKK). MAPKK kinase/MEKK phosphorylates and activates its downstream protein kinase, MAPK kinase/MEK, which in turn activates MAPK. The kinases of these signaling cascades are highly conserved, and homologs exist in yeast, Drosophila, and mammalian cells. MAPKKK5 contains 1,374 amino acids with all 11 kinase subdomains. Northern blot analysis shows that MAPKKK5 transcript is abundantly expressed in human heart and pancreas. The MAPKKK5 protein phosphorylates and activates MKK4 (aliases SERK1, MAPKK4) in vitro, and activates c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK)/stress-activated protein kinase (SAPK) during transient expression in COS and 293 cells; MAPKKK5 does not activate MAPK/ERK.
