The ASB8 Polyclonal Antibody (PAC015783) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ASB8, a protein involved in the regulation of immune responses. Raised in rabbits, this antibody is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ASB8 protein, this antibody allows for the detection and analysis of ASB8 in various cell types, making it an ideal choice for studies in immunology and cancer research.ASB8, also known as ankyrin repeat and SOCS box protein 8, plays a crucial role in immune regulation by modulating the activity of specific immune signaling pathways.
Its involvement in immune function makes it a promising target for research on various diseases, including cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions. By understanding the function of ASB8, researchers can gain valuable insights into potential therapeutic strategies aimed at manipulating immune responses in the context of these diseases.

Background:
ASB-8 (ankyrin repeat and SOCS box-containing 8) is a 288 amino acid, member of the ASB family that contains one SOCS box domain and four ANK repeats. Localized to the cytoplasm, ASB-8 functions as a substrate-recognition component of an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex and, working in conjunction with other proteins, plays a role in the ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins. The highest level of ASB-8 expression has been detected in skeletal muscle. ASB-8 is also expressed in heart, brain, placenta, liver, kidney and pancreas.
Synonyms:
