The ARNTL Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17334) is a powerful tool for researchers studying the ARNTL protein, also known as Bmal1, which plays a key role in the regulation of circadian rhythms. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blotting applications.ARNTL is a critical component of the molecular clock mechanism that controls the daily rhythms of various biological processes, including sleep-wake cycles, metabolism, and immune function. Dysregulation of ARNTL has been linked to disorders such as insomnia, metabolic syndrome, and certain types of cancer, highlighting its importance in maintaining overall health and well-being.
By using the ARNTL Polyclonal Antibody (CAB17334), researchers can gain valuable insights into the expression and function of ARNTL in different cell types and tissues, furthering our understanding of the intricate mechanisms underlying circadian rhythms. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in chronobiology, neuroscience, and related fields, ultimately paving the way for the development of novel therapeutic strategies targeting circadian rhythm-related disorders.

The protein encoded by this gene is a basic helix-loop-helix protein that forms a heterodimer with CLOCK. This heterodimer binds E-box enhancer elements upstream of Period (PER1, PER2, PER3) and Cryptochrome (CRY1, CRY2) genes and activates transcription of these genes. PER and CRY proteins heterodimerize and repress their own transcription by interacting in a feedback loop with CLOCK/ARNTL complexes. Defects in this gene have been linked to infertility, problems with gluconeogenesis and lipogenesis, and altered sleep patterns. The protein regulates interferon-stimulated gene expression and is an important factor in viral infection, including COVID-19.
