The ARFGAP1 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB7118) is a valuable tool for researchers studying ARFGAP1, a protein involved in regulating membrane trafficking and vesicle formation within cells. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific to human samples and has been validated for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ARFGAP1 protein, this antibody enables precise detection and analysis in a variety of cell types, making it ideal for research in cell biology and molecular biology.ARFGAP1 is a key player in maintaining cellular function by controlling the movement of proteins and lipids between different compartments within the cell. Dysregulation of ARFGAP1 has been linked to various diseases, including cancer and neurological disorders, making it an important target for drug development and therapeutic interventions.
By studying the role of ARFGAP1, researchers can gain insight into the underlying mechanisms of disease and potentially identify new treatment strategies.Overall, the ARFGAP1 Polyclonal Antibody is a valuable tool for researchers looking to investigate the functions and implications of ARFGAP1 in cellular processes and disease pathology. Its high specificity and reliability make it a trusted reagent for experiments in the fields of cell biology, molecular biology, and drug discovery.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-220 of human ARFGAP1 (NP_001268411.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a GTPase-activating protein, which associates with the Golgi apparatus and which interacts with ADP-ribosylation factor 1. The encoded protein promotes hydrolysis of ADP-ribosylation factor 1-bound GTP and is required for the dissociation of coat proteins from Golgi-derived membranes and vesicles. Dissociation of the coat proteins is required for the fusion of these vesicles with target compartments. The activity of this protein is stimulated by phosphoinosides and inhibited by phosphatidylcholine. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
