The ARF5 Polyclonal Antibody (CAB19986) is a valuable tool for research involving ARF5, a crucial protein involved in regulating cellular trafficking and membrane dynamics. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in Western blot applications. By binding to the ARF5 protein, this antibody enables the detection and analysis of ARF5 in various cell types, facilitating studies in cell biology and cancer research.ARF5, a member of the ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) family, plays a key role in controlling vesicle formation and membrane trafficking in cells.
Its involvement in these processes makes it a potential target for understanding diseases such as cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and metabolic conditions. By studying the function of ARF5, researchers can uncover insights into cellular mechanisms that contribute to disease development and progression, ultimately leading to the identification of new therapeutic strategies.

This gene is a member of the human ADP-ribosylation factor (ARF) gene family. These genes encode small guanine nucleotide-binding proteins that stimulate the ADP-ribosyltransferase activity of cholera toxin and play a role in vesicular trafficking and as activators of phospholipase D. The gene products include 6 ARF proteins and 11 ARF-like proteins and constitute 1 family of the RAS superfamily. The ARF proteins are categorized as class I (ARF1, ARF2,and ARF3), class II (ARF4 and ARF5) and class III (ARF6). The members of each class share a common gene organization.
