Description
APX1 Antibody (PACO33348)
The APX1 Polyclonal Antibody (PACO33348) is a valuable tool for researchers studying APX1, a key enzyme involved in the antioxidant defense system of plants. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity for APX1 and is validated for use in various applications, including Western blotting and immunofluorescence.APX1, also known as ascorbate peroxidase 1, plays a crucial role in scavenging reactive oxygen species and protecting plant cells from oxidative damage. Its function in regulating oxidative stress response makes it a promising target for research in plant physiology, stress biology, and crop improvement.
By using the APX1 Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can detect and analyze APX1 expression in different plant tissues, providing insights into its role in oxidative stress tolerance and defense mechanisms. This antibody is a valuable resource for studies aiming to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying plant stress responses and develop strategies to enhance plant resilience in changing environmental conditions.

NCBI Summary: | Encodes a cytosolic ascorbate peroxidase APX1. Ascorbate peroxidases are enzymes that scavenge hydrogen peroxide in plant cells. Eight types of APX have been described for Arabidopsis: three cytosolic (APX1, APX2, APX6), two chloroplastic types (stromal sAPX, thylakoid tAPX), and three microsomal (APX3, APX4, APX5) isoforms. At least part of the induction of heat shock proteins during light stress in Arabidopsis is mediated by H2O2 that is scavenged by APX1. Expression of the gene is downregulated in the presence of paraquat, an inducer of photoxidative stress. |
