Description
APP Monoclonal Antibody [PJ4H9AT] (CPAB0555)
The APP Polyclonal Antibody (CPAB0555) is a vital tool for researchers investigating the role of Amyloid Precursor Protein (APP) in Alzheimer's Disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. This antibody, generated in rabbits, exhibits high specificity and sensitivity towards human samples, making it a reliable choice for Western blotting and immunofluorescence applications.APP is a transmembrane protein involved in various cellular processes, including synapse formation, neuronal plasticity, and the production of amyloid beta peptides. Dysregulation of APP processing has been linked to the development of Alzheimer's Disease, making it a key target for therapeutic interventions.
The APP Polyclonal Antibody enables the detection and quantification of APP levels in different cell types, facilitating a better understanding of its function in health and disease.By investigating the role of APP in neurodegeneration, researchers can gain insights into the mechanisms underlying Alzheimer's Disease and potentially identify new therapeutic targets for treatment. The use of the APP Polyclonal Antibody in research studies holds great promise for advancing our knowledge of neurodegenerative disorders and developing effective therapies for patients in need.

Background: | APP is a cell surface receptor and transmembrane precursor protein which is cleaved by secretases to form a number of peptides. Some of these peptides are secreted and can bind to the acetyltransferase complex APBB1/TIP60 to promote transcriptional activation, while others form the protein basis of the amyloid plaques found in the brains of patients with Alzheimer disease. Mutations in the APP gene are implicated in autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease and cerebroarterial amyloidosis (cerebral amyloid angiopathy). |
