The Apolipoprotein C-I Polyclonal Antibody (CAB5629) is a valuable tool for researchers studying apolipoproteins and lipid metabolism. This antibody, produced in rabbits, targets apolipoprotein C-I, a protein involved in lipid transport and metabolism pathways. With high reactivity to human samples, this antibody is ideal for Western blot applications, allowing for the detection and analysis of apolipoprotein C-I in a variety of cell types.Apolipoprotein C-I is known for its role in regulating lipid levels in the blood and modulating processes such as lipid clearance and hepatic lipid metabolism.
Dysregulation of apolipoprotein C-I has been linked to conditions like hyperlipidemia and cardiovascular disease, making it a promising target for research in these areas.By using the Apolipoprotein C-I Polyclonal Antibody, researchers can gain valuable insights into the function and regulation of apolipoprotein C-I, leading to a better understanding of its role in health and disease. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in the fields of lipid metabolism, cardiovascular research, and metabolic disorders.

Recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-83 of human APOC1 (NP_001636.1).
This gene encodes a member of the apolipoprotein C1 family. This gene is expressed primarily in the liver, and it is activated when monocytes differentiate into macrophages. The encoded protein plays a central role in high density lipoprotein (HDL) and very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) metabolism. This protein has also been shown to inhibit cholesteryl ester transfer protein in plasma. A pseudogene of this gene is located 4 kb downstream in the same orientation, on the same chromosome. This gene is mapped to chromosome 19, where it resides within a apolipoprotein gene cluster. Alternative splicing and the use of alternative promoters results in multiple transcript variants.
