The Anti-APOE Antibody (CAB0304) is a valuable tool for researchers studying the Apolipoprotein E (APOE) protein, which is involved in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease. This antibody, produced in rabbits, has high specificity for human samples and is suitable for use in various experimental techniques, including Western blotting.APOE is a key player in the transport and metabolism of cholesterol and other lipids, as well as in the regulation of immune responses and inflammation. Dysregulation of APOE function has been linked to various diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, atherosclerosis, and diabetes.
Research into the role of APOE in these conditions is crucial for developing targeted therapies and interventions.By using the Anti-APOE Antibody (CAB0304), investigators can detect and analyze APOE expression in different cell types and tissues, providing valuable insights into its physiological functions and pathological implications. This antibody is a valuable tool for studies in lipid metabolism, cardiovascular health, neurodegenerative diseases, and immune regulation.

The protein encoded by this gene is a major apoprotein of the chylomicron. It binds to a specific liver and peripheral cell receptor, and is essential for the normal catabolism of triglyceride-rich lipoprotein constituents. This gene maps to chromosome 19 in a cluster with the related apolipoprotein C1 and C2 genes. Mutations in this gene result in familial dysbetalipoproteinemia, or type III hyperlipoproteinemia (HLP III), in which increased plasma cholesterol and triglycerides are the consequence of impaired clearance of chylomicron and VLDL remnants.
