The APC2 Antibody (PAC062235) is a polyclonal antibody designed for research involving APC2, a key protein involved in cell division and tumor suppression. This antibody, raised in rabbits, is highly specific and reactive with human samples, making it ideal for use in various research applications.APC2 is a crucial component of the APC/C complex, which plays a central role in ensuring accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. Dysregulation of APC2 has been implicated in numerous types of cancer, making it a valuable target for research into cancer biology and therapeutic development.
This antibody is validated for use in Western blot applications, enabling the detection and analysis of APC2 protein levels in different cell types. By studying the expression and function of APC2, researchers can gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying cancer development and progression, potentially leading to the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.

Immunofluorescence staining of A549 cells with PACO62235 at 1:166, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).
Background:
Stabilizes microtubules and may regulate actin fiber dynamics through the activation of Rho family GTPases. May also function in Wnt signaling by promoting the rapid degradation of CTNNB1.
APCL: Promotes rapid degradation of CTNNB1 and may function as a tumor suppressor. May function in Wnt signaling. Belongs to the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) family. 3 isoforms of the human protein are produced by alternative splicing.Protein type: Membrane protein, peripheralChromosomal Location of Human Ortholog: 19p13.3Cellular Component: actin filament; beta-catenin destruction complex; catenin complex; cytoplasm; cytoplasmic microtubule; Golgi apparatus; microtubule cytoskeleton; perinuclear region of cytoplasmMolecular Function: beta-catenin binding; gamma-catenin binding; protein bindingBiological Process: cell fate specification; cell migration; cell proliferation; negative regulation of microtubule depolymerization; pattern specification process; positive regulation of protein catabolic process; regulation of cell differentiation
