The Mouse IL-17A Monoclonal Antibody (17F3) is a powerful tool for scientists studying immune responses and inflammation in mouse models. This antibody, produced by Assay Genie, specifically targets interleukin-17A (IL-17A), a cytokine known for its role in various inflammatory conditions.IL-17A is a key mediator of autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis and psoriasis, as well as in host defense against pathogens. The 17F3 antibody is a monoclonal antibody, ensuring high specificity and sensitivity in detecting IL-17A in various experimental setups.Researchers can use this antibody in techniques like immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry to visualize and quantify IL-17A expression in mouse tissue samples or cell cultures.
By targeting IL-17A, scientists can gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of inflammation and immune responses in different disease models. The Mouse IL-17A Monoclonal Antibody (17F3) from Assay Genie is a reliable tool for investigating the role of IL-17A in inflammation, autoimmunity, and host defense in mouse models, contributing to advances in immunology and therapeutic development.

Background:
The 17F3 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse IL-17A a 15-20 kDa cytokine expressed by Th17 cells, γδ T cells, iNKT cells, NK cells, LTi cells, neutrophils, and intestinal Paneth cells. IL-17A has pleiotropic effects in immunoregulation and inflammation. It plays an important role in anti-microbial and chronic inflammation by inducing cytokine and chemokine production, neutrophil influx, and the production of antibacterial peptides but it is also an inflammatory mediator in the development of autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, multiple sclerosis, and psoriasis. The 17F3 antibody has been shown to neutralize IL-22A in vivo.
