The Mouse CD90 Monoclonal Antibody (M5/49.4.1) is a high-quality research tool developed for the study of CD90, a cell surface marker commonly used to identify and isolate subsets of cells such as hematopoietic stem cells, fibroblasts, and activated T cells. This antibody, generated specifically for recognition of mouse CD90, exhibits strong reactivity in immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and other experimental applications.CD90, also known as Thy-1, plays a pivotal role in cell adhesion, migration, and signal transduction, making it a key player in processes like tissue regeneration, immune response modulation, and cancer progression. By targeting CD90 with this monoclonal antibody, researchers can effectively analyze the expression and localization of this critical protein in various biological samples, facilitating investigations into cellular function, differentiation, and disease mechanisms.
Utilizing the Mouse CD90 Monoclonal Antibody (M5/49.4.1) presents an opportunity to deepen our understanding of CD90-mediated cellular interactions and their implications in physiological and pathological conditions. Whether exploring stem cell behavior, immune cell activation, or tumor microenvironment dynamics, this antibody serves as a valuable tool for advancing research in fields such as immunology, stem cell biology, and oncology.

Background:
The M5/49.4.1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Thy1 also known as CD90. Thy1 is a 25-35 kDa GPI-anchored protein belonging to the Ig superfamily that is expressed by thymocytes, peripheral T cells, myoblasts, epidermal cells, and keratinocytes. The function of Thy1 has not been fully elucidated but is thought to play roles in regulation of cell adhesion, apoptosis, metastasis, inflammation, and fibrosis. This antibody is particularly useful for depletion of T lymphocytes.
