The APC Anti-Mouse CD41 Antibody (MWReg30) from Assay Genie is a high-quality research tool designed for the detection and analysis of CD41, a cell surface antigen primarily expressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. This antibody is specifically developed for use in flow cytometry applications and is ideal for studies focusing on hematopoiesis, thrombosis, and vascular biology.CD41, also known as integrin alpha IIb, is a crucial receptor involved in platelet aggregation and thrombus formation, playing a key role in hemostasis and blood clotting processes. By targeting CD41 with this antibody, researchers can effectively identify and analyze platelet populations in various experimental settings.
This antibody is raised in mice and validated for its specificity and sensitivity in detecting CD41 expression in mouse samples. The APC Anti-Mouse CD41 Antibody (MWReg30) offers researchers a valuable tool to investigate the function and behavior of platelets in health and disease states. Its reliable performance and specificity make it an essential component for studies exploring thrombotic disorders, platelet biology, and cardiovascular diseases. Trust Assay Genie's antibody to provide accurate and reproducible results in your research endeavors involving CD41-expressing cells.

Background:
CD41, also known as integrin α2b and GPIIb, is a transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed by platelets and megakaryocytes. It was reported that CD41 is also expressed on hematopoietic progenitors. CD41 associates with CD61 (integrin β3) to form complexes that interact with fibrinogen, fibronectin, von Willebrand factor, and thrombin. CD41 is required for platelet adhesion and aggregation. Defect of CD41 leads to disorders of coagulation.
