The APC Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) offered by AssayGenie is a highly specific and reliable tool for research involving CD106, a cell surface molecule known as vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM-1). This antibody is designed for immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and other experimental applications requiring detection and analysis of CD106 in mouse samples.CD106, as a key adhesion molecule, plays a crucial role in mediating interactions between leukocytes and vascular endothelial cells, contributing to the inflammatory response and immune cell recruitment. Its involvement in various physiological and pathological processes, such as inflammation, atherosclerosis, and cancer metastasis, underscores the importance of studying its function and regulation.
The APC Anti-Mouse CD106 Antibody (M/K-2.7) demonstrates high specificity and sensitivity in recognizing CD106 in mouse tissues and cells, making it a valuable tool for investigating the role of CD106 in various disease models and immune responses. Researchers studying vascular biology, inflammation, and immune cell interactions will benefit from the reliable performance and accurate detection provided by this antibody.

Background:
CD106 is a 110 kD glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-linked transmembrane protein, also known as VCAM-1 and INCAM-110. It is constitutively expressed on bone marrow stromal cells, myeloid progenitors, splenic dendritic cells, activated endothelial cells, as well as some lymphocytes. CD106 expression can be upregulated on endothelial cells by inflammatory cytokines. CD106 is involved in adhesion and acts as a counter-receptor for VLA-4 (α4/β1 integrin) and LPAM-1 (α4/β7 integrin).
