The APC Anti-Human/Mouse IL-5 Antibody (TRFK5) is a high-quality monoclonal antibody specifically designed for the detection of interleukin-5 (IL-5) in both human and mouse samples. IL-5 is a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the regulation of eosinophil production and activation, making it a key target in studies related to inflammatory diseases such as asthma and allergies. This antibody, produced through advanced technology, offers high specificity and sensitivity for IL-5 detection, ensuring reliable and accurate results in various research applications. Its ability to specifically bind to IL-5 enables researchers to investigate the role of this cytokine in immune responses, inflammation, and other biological processes.
Whether studying the pathophysiology of allergic diseases, evaluating immune responses, or exploring therapeutic interventions targeting IL-5, the APC Anti-Human/Mouse IL-5 Antibody (TRFK5) provides a valuable tool for precise and insightful research in immunology and related fields. With its validated performance and broad applicability, this antibody is a trusted resource for scientists seeking to expand their understanding of IL-5 function and its implications in health and disease.
Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by flow cytometric analysis. Please check your vial before the experiment. Since applications vary, the appropriate dilutions must be determined for individual use. We suggest each investigator should titrate the reagent to obtain optimal results [The recommended concentration is 0.1-1 μg/106 cells in 100 μL volume].

Background:
IL-5 is a homodimeric, disulphide-linked protein produced by T-cells. Monomeric human IL-5 is a 126 amino acid protein with a reported molecular weight of 26 kD for the homodimeric protein. Mouse and human IL-5 are approximately 70% identical. IL-5 has been shown to promote the growth of immature hematopoietic BFU-E progenitors, stimulate the activation and differentiation of eosinophils, and promote the generation of cytotoxic lymphocytes. Mouse IL-5 induces the differentiation and proliferation of pre-activated B-cells and stimulates the production and secretion of IgM and IgA by B-cells stimulated with bacterial endotoxin. The TRFK5 antibody can neutralize the bioactivity of natural or recombinant IL-5.
